A View Inside an Angkot
Jess and I frequently read/watch the Jakarta Daily Photo blog. Today her post includes a picture of the inside of an angkot, the little vans that are used for public transportation.
A Day Out
We didn’t have anything planned for Monday so we decided to take the angkot to Carrefour. Where we live we pretty much have two stores that we do most of our shopping at: Hypermart and Carrefour.

“How about 100,000 rupiah?” said the officer, which would have been about $10 USD.
“Yeah, but I am not in the wrong here officer so you’ll have to write me the ticket,” said the American.
“Well, you give me a price,” the officer retorted.
“No.”
