We didn’t have anything planned for Monday so we decided to take the angkot to Carrefour. Where we live we pretty much have two stores that we do most of our shopping at: Hypermart and Carrefour.

“How about 100,000 rupiah?” said the officer, which would have been about $10 USD.
“Yeah, but I am not in the wrong here officer so you’ll have to write me the ticket,” said the American.
“Well, you give me a price,” the officer retorted.
“No.”

We are set to fly to Indonesia in just a few days, but our son still doesn’t have a seat. What are we supposed to do, leave him?

Later today we are going camping at Silver Falls, which is east of Salem. What is exciting about this particular camping trip is that both my brother and my sister (with their kids), as well as Jess’ parents and sister with all respective partners will be camping together.
