Sometimes living in another country can be interesting, especially when you are light skinned in a land of darker skin. Needless to say, we stick out a little bit. Our helper, when holding Silas, commented that their skin next to each other was like coffee with milk.

About a week ago I told Evan that there were a some books that I wanted to buy. Knowing that I am frugal and only make purchases after a lot of consideration, he gave me the go ahead. I was a little bit annoyed that he didn’t even want to know which books I was buying so I asked him to guess which books they might be.

We had a small, at home birthday party for Jeremiah tonight. Jess made some nice & healthy carrot cake cupcakes and Jeremiah got to do a scavenger hunt to find his present, which he calls his prize.

11. In the 3rd grade I got the chickenpox and had to be hospitalized because my eye got infected by one of them. I almost had to have surgery. My parents snuck Taco Bell in to me because I didn’t like the hospital food.
