As of today, there are 63 days until we leave for Indonesia. That is not a lot of time. Yet, that is the plan. This is our direction. Whether we are ready or not, we will be going.

If you’re reading this blog then you probably already know that Jessica, Jeremiah and I will be moving to Indonesia to teach at an international Christian school, beginning the second week of July. The post is a two year position and will require many adjustments to our way of life, way of thinking, and even our way of praying. We will stop praying so many selfish prayers and begin praying for the souls that we encounter whether it be at the grocery store (toko pangan), at the local food stall (warung) or at Sekolah Pelita Harapan Lippo Cikarang, where I will be teaching.

We will be updating this blog often with details of our adventures, challenges, and prayer requests. Stick us into your favorite blog reader (we use Google Reader) and join with us in our work for the Lord.

Hi Evan, this sounds like an exciting transition. Have you been to the Portland City Blessing church?

No Matt, I haven’t been to PCB. Is it a good church? Thanks for checking out our blog. There will be MANY changes coming soon so throw us in your blog reader or check back often.
