Parents are Coming
My parents are coming to visit us in 38 days! Jeremiah and I made a countdown calendar that he can take a number off of everyday to remind him that Nana and Papa are coming. He is pretty excited about it and talks about “nanapapa” all the time. I am curious how the boys will react to my parents since Jeremiah hasn’t seen them in person for a year and Silas has no idea who they are, except through video skype. It will be fun to show them around our territory and have them see how we really live.
I wish my sister and her family could come as well. I think Carter and Silas would have fun together (they were born one month apart). It’s pretty spendy to get over here though,
A Few Hugs and a “We’ll Be Back in a Few Hours”
I am also pretty excited that Evan and I might get to go on a date. The only time Evan and I have been alone, away from the boys for more than a few minutes was when I was in labor with Silas. Frankly, I don’t think that that counts as a date. So I will welcome my parents arrival with a few hugs and a “we’ll be back in a few hours.”
Taking a Break in Bali
I am also excited because we get to go to Bali. We are joining the ranks of those who say, “Yes, I am going to (insert exotic location here) for the break.” While we wish Evan’s break from school could be longer than 6 weeks, I know we will have a lot of fun and it will be over too fast.
